Kawaii Crochet

Have you ever heard of Kawaii? I had to look it up myself. It means as much as: the quality of cuteness in the context of Japanese culture. I hope this is a good explanation. I did know Kawaii for some time, but not as a crochet term but as a word for very cute Japanesse stationary-stuff. But now I've found out that there is something that you call Kawaii crochet. And that is so supercute! Here's the link to the pattern of this supercute robot. Enjoy!

Gehaakte mandala's

What a gorgeous book! I received this book today and I couldn't stop looking at it. As you all know I love colorful crochet projects, so this book is like a magnet to me. It's filled with gorgeous happy patterns. You can use any yarn you like with these patterns, which is lots of fun. Do you want to use chunky yarn? Then you can make a rug from the mandala that's a table cloth in the book. The fact that there are patterns of Arne & Carlos in this book will make the book extra fun for some crocheters, but the other designers in the book make mandala's that are gorgeous too. A few of the designers in this book have a blog, so I could add them to my list of favourite blogs. So I love the book and I hope you do too. It's available in my webshop (click here).
